The actor who has been arrested allegedly on Rape charges was taken into custody last night. The matter definitely came as a shocker to everyone including Pearl's friends in the industry. After the news broke, Pearl's friend and Naagin 3 co-star Anita Hassanandani has come out in support on social media. The actress posted a picture with him on her Instagram account and mentioned that there is something more to the story and she supports him.

In her post, Anita wrote, "Woke up to some nonsensical news about @pearlvpuri. I know him! It's not true...cannot be true all lies. I'm sure there is more to it. And the truth will be out soon. Earlier confirming the news of his arrest Mumbai Police DCP Abhishek Trimukhe told SpotboyE.com, "He has been arrested by Waliv Police Station (Vasai)." However, he didn't share more details about the said incident. Whereas Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) DCP, Zone 2, Sanjay Patil told TOI, "He has been remanded to police custody and booked for rape and under the section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, said Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) DCP, Zone 2, Sanjay Patil. The Police said that it is an old case in which a minor girl had alleged that Puri had taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials.
